Time to turn off the sprinklers?
Cooler weather and increasing rainfall means you can water less.
With winter certainly on the way, the recent Perth storms have put an end to the beautiful, yet unseasonal weather Perth has had through autumn. After the recent rain Perth has received, it's time to start cutting back on watering times.
With cooler temperatures and some rainfall, the soil does not lose it’s moisture as quickly as it did over the summer months. Because of this, you can reduce your watering times and still have a healthy garden.
To start, why not try reducing watering times by a third and see how things go. Of course if it has been raining, turn the retic off altogether.
Don’t forget, restricted watering days apply all year round. For more information on watering days and water-wise ideas visit the water corporation at http://watercorporation.com.au/
